Description

Who We Are
The mission of Charter Substitute Teacher Network is to provide every child, regardless of the circumstances they are born into, a safe place of refuge to learn, and an ecosystem through which they can discover, develop and flourish in to their full potential.  We believe one teacher, one day, one moment, can be the difference that equals a child discovering their gift, ultimately causing them to unleash it into the world. Particularly in high-need communities, teacher absences result in costly amounts of lost learning time for students.  CSTN solves this problem by placing the highest quality Guest Teachers in schools.  We are an established, rapidly growing company focused on empowering students in the K-12 sector. Recently named on Forbes 30 List for the impact we’ve made in education, we service schools across the country, and are currently expanding our footprint.

“Each charter institution is locally governed by its own board of directors, and that non-profit panel and the school they oversee are both held accountable to the same standards as the public system by the office of the state superintendent. In addition to these regulations, charter schools in Washington are also beholden to a separate entity of oversight as well.”

Watch co-founders Sara Rolfs and Rick Wray discuss the process of opening Wenatchee’s first ever charter school! The two spoke with iFIBER ONE News in Part Two of a series on charter public schools, Charter Schools 101.

The next installment of the series will focus proposed staffing and classroom structure. Tune in to learn more about how charter public schools work in Washington state!

“Throughout my four years here I’ve taken my education very seriously, determined to not only be the first to graduate college in my immediate family but to also prove to myself that my fate is controlled by me and me only – not a vicious cycle. But what Summit has taught me is that I do NOT have to do it alone.”
