In your role, you will be a lead executor of our schools systems, , and you will work directly with our Founding School Leader, Board, and other members of our statewide and national network to help spearhead Rooted School’s launch in Vancouver, Washington by Fall 2022.
As our Founding Head of Office Operations, you will work in step with the RSV team to fulfill our school-wide vision for grades 9-12 and execute best practices for a healthy, safe, and productive way to bring that vision to reality.
Above all, you will help us determine how we will fulfill the Rooted Promise. This might not work. It might not be fun. I hope you’ll do it anyway.

Areas of Responsibility Include (but aren’t limited to):
- Establishes front office procedures and, as appropriate, provides lead direction and/or instruction to staff, substitutes, and volunteers
- Coordinates with fiscal agent, reconciliation of all procurement cards, expenditure reports, requisitions, prepares administrative reports, budget and purchasing requests for administration and for monthly school board meetings
- Assists administrator and staff in designing master class schedule, from providing course codes to distributing registration packets to processing student information throughout the school year
- Maintains confidential records, evaluations, emergency cards, and files for staff
- Coordinates and inputs all appropriate data for student recordkeeping, including health information, incident reports, safety procedures
- Supports for student transportation scheduling when needed, such as bus tickets, field trips, etc.
- Systems contact
- Skills needed to perform these duties and/or participate in training: medication administration, First Aid, concussion protocols, blood management, epi pen, glucagon, blood sugar monitoring and other related diabetic needs, maintenance of immunization and other health records, and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification
Qualifications:
- Experience working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds with a commitment to valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Experience and/or ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions requiring the ability to concentrate and consistently produce accurate work while responding to interruptions and changing priorities
- Knowledge of general office procedures including writing and proofing skills, and the ability to maintain accurate and reliable records and data
- Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction; sound judgment and decision making capabilities are essential
