The Opportunity:

Rooted School Vancouver will be the fourth public school to open in the Rooted School network and the first in Washington state. Southwest Washington projects more than 1,600 job openings in IT and STEM every year without enough local talent to meet that growth. Rooted Vancouver seeks to change that by offering a broad range of industry-based credentials and work-based learning opportunities for students during high school. After four years with us, students have a chance to earn a college acceptance in one hand and a job offer in the other.

Overview of the Role:

In your role, you will be a lead executor of our Science curriculum and work directly with our Founding School Leader, Board, and other members of our statewide and national network to help spearhead Rooted School’s launch in Vancouver, Washington by Fall 2023.

As our Founding Science Teacher, you will work in step with our instructional team to fulfill our school-wide vision for grades 9-12 and execute the curriculum to bring that vision to reality.

Above all, you will help us determine how we will fulfill the Rooted Promise. This might not work. It might not be fun. I hope you’ll do it anyway.

Deadline to apply: Until Filled
