Compensation

This is a full-time, salaried position working 40 hours/ a week with an annual salary range of $42,432-$45,029. Because of our strong commitment to equity and growth, Impact does not negotiate salaries. Salaries are determined based on years of experience.

In This Position, You Will Be Responsible For:

Learning Environment and Classroom Management

Work closely with the Lead Teacher to contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment, support effective behavior management strategies, and assist in creating a safe and engaging atmosphere conducive to student learning.

Instructional Practices

Work closely with the Lead Teacher to consistently execute core best practices aligned to the Impact instructional model.

Planning and Preparation

Assist the Lead Teacher in Implement comprehensive lesson plans provided by IPS’ Academic team and anticipate student responses and potential challenges, and plan targeted questions and exemplar work samples to facilitate comprehensive and effective instruction.

Modeling Core Values

Exemplify and consistently model Impact core values and adhere to campus norms that align with the organization’s values, fostering a sense of belonging for all students.

Commitment to Equity

In collaboration with the Lead Teacher, disrupt inequity in their classrooms and in the greater school each and every day.

Required Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field or actively working towards completing a bachelor’s degree (within  2-years of employment required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
  • Experience working with at-risk youth
  • Passion for equity and gap closing teaching experience with proven record of student growth

License/Certification

  • Must have or be eligible for certification by OSPI with an endorsement in Elementary Education (within 1-month of employment required)
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a CPR certification
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification

  • Provide academic transcript
  • Must pass a fingerprint and background check
  • Complete safeschools trainings
