Last Updated: August 18, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), operated by the Washington State Charter Schools Association (“WA Charters,” “we,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update these Terms from time to time; your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Privacy

Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Site, to understand how we collect and use your information.

3. Use of the Site

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, WA Charters grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes — such as learning about our work, registering for events, or making a donation. This license does not include the right to reproduce, resell, or create derivative works from the Site or its content without our prior written permission.

4. Submissions and Feedback

If you submit comments, testimonials, event registrations, or other content through the Site (“Submissions”), you confirm that your Submissions are accurate and that you have the right to share them. You grant WA Charters a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and publish your Submissions (for example, a testimonial or event photo) in our advocacy and communications work, unless you tell us otherwise. You are responsible for the content of anything you submit.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or other users’ information
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access or collect data from the Site without our permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site’s functionality, servers, or networks
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with WA Charters
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Use the Site to harass, threaten, or defame any person

6. Third-Party Content and Links

The Site may link to third-party websites or include third-party content. WA Charters does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party site. A link does not imply our endorsement.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content — text, graphics, logos, and design — are owned by WA Charters or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. “WA Charters” and our logo are our trademarks. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without prior written permission. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, contact us at info@wacharters.org with details.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. WA Charters does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WA Charters and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold WA Charters harmless from claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington State.

12. Changes to These Terms; Termination

We may modify these Terms, or suspend or terminate access to the Site, at any time, with or without notice.

13. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and WA Charters regarding the Site.
