Washington State Charter School Timeline

April 1 was the deadline for school districts to submit a notice of intent to be a charter school authorizer. Thirteen districts from across the state — in rural and urban communities, and both east and west of the Cascades — sent their intent letter.

The state is on a shortened timeline for the first year of authorization.
