Washington State Charter School Timeline

April 1 was the deadline for school districts to submit a notice of intent to be a charter school authorizer. Thirteen districts from across the state — in rural and urban communities, and both east and west of the Cascades — sent their intent letter.

To help break down the many upcoming deadlines, we put together this graphic representing some of the most important dates for authorizers and potential charter schools in the coming year. The state is on a shortened timeline for the first year of authorization.
