Manager of Technology

- Compensation: This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual salary range of $61,026-$87,152. Because of our strong commitment to equity and growth, Impact does not negotiate salaries. Salaries are determined based on years of experience.

In This Position, You Will Be Responsible For:
User Support and Customer Service
- Coordinates with school site staff to provide technical support on all technology-related issues, including troubleshooting computer software and hardware problems, replacements/upgrades, and classroom technology
- Manages our internal ticketing system including escalation of tickets to appropriate parties
- Sets high standards for excellent customer service and holds external vendors accountable to meeting them
- Ensures all issues are expediently addressed, resolved, and communicated with technician notes
- Actively raises issues and recommends improvements to technology support services
- Provides technology orientation and training to staff
Operations & Vendor Management
- Liaise with Directors of School Operations and Home Office Operations team regarding all technology needs at the school and network levels
- Co-develop and manage technology annual budget, using monthly budget-to-actual-to-projection reports.
- Work with instructional technology vendors to ensure products are implemented and managed successfully
- Manage all purchasing and oversee asset management for technology equipment and services, aligned with budget
- Continuously improve on policies and procedures for day-to-day activities (staff/student how-tos, security, acceptable use agreements, etc.).
Technology Project Management
- Assumes responsibility for special technology projects that are rolled-out at schools across our network
- Collaborate with academic leadership to support blended learning and instructional technology implementation
- Work with schools and teachers to ensure digital content is easily accessible to all students (e.g. accessing devices and signing into applications)
- Ensure staff and student user accounts in instructional applications are effectively and efficiently managed (via Clever or other method)
- Manage and administer internal systems to fit alignment to organizational goals and needs.
- Anticipate and research new technologies for the benefit of improving scholar and staff member experience with technology

- Customer Service: Ability to problem solve, meet the needs, and provide excellent service to Impact faculty as the technical point person for all technology related issues
- Communication: Ability to convey expectations, provide feedback, collaborate with stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and maintain transparency within the network community
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure smooth workflows while managing various aspects of technology operations including administering learning applications, maintaining Internet content filtering, resolving network issues, troubleshooting hardware equipment, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree or actively working towards completing a bachelor’s degree (within 2-years of employment required)
- Preferred Qualifications
- 1 – 4 years of related working experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to student information systems (such as Skyward, CEDARS, Clever, Schoolmint, etc.) and hardware devices (such as computers, printers, networks, and smartphones)
- Expertise in using spreadsheet tools (e.g. Excel, Sheets) to collect, manipulate, and report data.
- Minimum 2 years project management experience
- Experience in school contexts is a plus
- Previous start-up experience is a plus
- Experience working to close the opportunity gap
License/Certification
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a CPR certification
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification
