Location: Home office employees do report to school sites as needed: Tukwila, WA, South Seattle, WA, Renton, WA or Tacoma, WA, though have flexibility to work from home throughout the week

Compensation

This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual salary range of $127,345 – $152,189. Because of our strong commitment to equity and growth, Impact does not negotiate salaries. Salaries are determined based on years of experience.

In This Position, You Will Be Responsible For:

Team Leadership & Coaching

Develop and deliver top-notch professional development sessions and coaching tools to support school site operations teams, provide effective coaching to foster growth in Directors of School Operations and their teams, and cultivate cohesion among Directors for strong partnership and mutual support.

Operations & Enrollment

Lead the Outreach team in setting SMARTIE Goals for enrollment, establish dashboards for progress monitoring, and oversee the Outreach and Operations team to achieve full school enrollment. Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of efficient critical paths and resources for Directors of School Operations, focusing on supporting school communities. Manage end-to-end school services, including RFP stage to contract finalization, and troubleshoot ongoing implementation issues. Drive cross-functional projects such as family surveys, school calendars, and handbooks, and support real estate and charter development for successful school launches. Conduct school excellence walkthroughs, ensure compliance and operational requirements, and promote efficiency and effectiveness across all schools.

Compliance

Lead the tracking and management of ongoing compliance requirements, including state, federal, and local laws, policies, and grants. Direct the Operations team to ensure accurate and timely completion of all compliance tasks. Develop a comprehensive library of how-to resources for all compliance activities. Proactively address issues and creatively problem-solve challenges as they arise to maintain compliance standards.

Operations Management and Coordination

Source and coordinate school operations services to enable school site teams to concentrate on implementation efforts. Collaborate with vendors to acquire bids, negotiate payment procedures, and ensure timely completion of work. Document essential operational functions of the school, including food services, transportation, arrival/dismissal procedures, facilities management, data management, and attendance tracking. Facilitate the setup and implementation of annual assessments, ensuring data entry into our dashboard upon completion. Identify potential government grants, assess eligibility, complete applications, and fulfill requirements to secure grant opportunities.

Effective communication, collaboration, and networking skills are essential for fostering positive partnerships and achieving enrollment targets.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze enrollment data, market trends, and operational metrics is vital for making informed decisions and driving improvements in enrollment processes and regional operations. Strong analytical skills are needed to identify areas for growth, assess performance, and implement strategies to enhance enrollment outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  2. Minimum 4-6 years process and project management experience
  3. Minimum 2 years school or school-related operations experience
  4. Minimum 2 years experience supervising employees including coaching and developing others, ideally across multiple sites

Preferred Qualifications

  1. MBA
  2. Previous start-up experience a plus
  3. Experience with Student Information Systems, especially Skyward, a plus
  4. Experience working to close the opportunity gap
  5. Passion for equity and gap closing teaching experience with proven record of student growth

License/Certification

  1. Must have or be eligible to obtain a CPR certification
  2. Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification
