All charter public schools in Washington state are following the proclamation from the Governor to close all K-12 schools no later than March 17 until April 24. Each school has been actively communicating transition details to their students, families, and faculty.
Charter public schools recognize closing school is extremely difficult for students, staff, families and the community and recognize it will result in challenges. Our charter public schools have been preparing for the potential of school closure and developed plans to continue students’ education and provide/arrange supports and resources for families.
Schools will continue to follow guidance from local, state and federal agencies and are closely monitoring the situation. The schools will also continue to communicate the latest updates to their families. We are inspired by the positivity, selflessness, and sense of community all school communities have shown during this public health challenge.
We wish everyone health and safety during this time and are grateful for the continued commitment to coming together.
